Last week we worked hard on the new exclusive data service fully integrated with Google TiSP. Code-named "The Plunger," the service would unlock vast, vast amounts of valuable data by unclogging the tubes of TiSP. Unfortunately, no one showed up for work this Sunday to deploy it so the whole thing fell through.
Instead, we bring you some honest April 2nd updates. After your deploy tonight you'll find some good stuff on data column pages. You can now comment on columns, and as you explore data and click around, column highlighting will make it a bit easier to see where you are in the data. We also fixed a few bloopers, like the one where you couldn't remove graphs or data sets you featured on your user profile page.
As always, keep the feedback coming and let us know what you think of the new goodies you see on Swivel.

At first I thought this might explain Google's recent purchases of the 'dark fiber'. Afterall, they would need the fiber to support the bandwidth for the free wireless internet connection they are offering. Unfortunately this is just an april fool joke but Google becoming ISP is not that far off.
