Whether you're looking at a scatter plot or a Jackson Pollack painting every person notices and appreciates different things. Flowing Data has defined five different types of data visualization people by what they see in the data and what they take away from it. The five types are: the technician, the analyzer, the artist, the outsider, and the light bulb. Check out the blog post for a more detailed description of each type.
