Happy Earth Day! With the eco-friendly spirit in the air, I decided to take the quiz over at Earth Day Networks to calculate my ecological footprint.
To calculate your personal toll on the Earth, the quiz takes you through things like what you eat, how much trash you have, where you live, and how you get around.
According to my results:
- If everyone lived like me, we'd need 3.5 planets to provide enough resources.
- To support my lifestyle, it takes 15.4 acres of the Earth's productive area.
- And here's the breakdown of my ecological footprint:
What's your ecological footprint? Take the quiz and post your answers here!

Hello,
I was not able to take the Quiz as my country was not available. I live in Norway and most norwegians would probably score very high in this quiz. We all use to much resources.
But do we care? Did this quiz make you think "I have to do something about it" - will you do something about it? Do we really care?
If we all do a little each day it will make a big difference. Here are some Easy Actions for Saving our Resources and our Planet.
* Action 1: Save paper.
* Action 2: Promote waste reduction and recycling among your group.
* Action 3: Reuse where possible and avoid throwaway items.
* Action 4: Support your local charity shop.
* Action 5: Reduce, re-use and recycle.
* Action 6: Employ water 'Hippos' or 'save-a-flush'.
* Action 7: Save water in your community building.
* Action 8: Give your community garden or allotment a water-wise makeover.
* Action 9: Bulk-buy water butts.
* Action 10: Become a recycling collection point.
